Zhu Zhu Pets Recall Advocated
Those toy hamsters that were supposed to have artificial intelligence may have something else that the parents who bought these highly popular toys for Christmas were not bargaining for.
A consumer advocacy group based in California is making the claim that Zhu Zhu Hamsters toys are made with toxic components. They released a statement saying that if a child touches the toy and then puts his hands in his mouth, the child could ingest antimony, a substance that is associated with several known health risks.
The group, called Good Guide, is recommending consumers who purchased Zhu Zhu Pets either take them back to the store they bought them from and request a refund, or contact the company that made them.
Zhu Zhu Pets are made in China by the Cepia LLC company.
